Expect to see a haunted house, a lighthouse and the three little pigs’ houses all made of gingerbread in downtown Naples on Wednesday.
The Lorenzo Walker Culinary Club will host its 2nd Annual Gingerbread Competition at the corner of Fifth Avenue. South. and 8th Street South. during Naples annual Christmas walk from 5 to 9 p.m.
“This gingerbread competition is open to the public, professionals, adults, middle schoolers and elementary schoolers,” said Gerry Leonard, culinary arts instructor at Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology.
With a $10 entry fee, contestants can enter one of five categories to compete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in each category.
Categories for entry include: elementary school, middle school, high school, amateur and professional.

The Culinary Club asks that all houses be donated for auction to raise funds for the group. Houses will be for sale by silent auction during the competition.
