There is a new place in town to treat your sugar cravings. Sweet Tooth Bakery opened in North Naples on Tuesday.

The bakery features all sorts of pastries including cakes, muffins, doughnuts, breads and pies.

“Everything we make is different,” said Martina McKenzie, who owns the bakery along with her husband, Godfrey McKenzie.

There is both indoor and outdoor seating at Sweet Tooth Bakery, 1201 Piper Boulevard, near the intersection of Immokalee Road and Airport-Pulling Road. All items can also be carried out.

The bakery’s hours are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays.

They will be having a grand opening within the next month, Martina McKenzie said.

To contact Sweet Tooth Bakery call 239-514-2253.

Once again, NDN presents a "news story" that is nothing more than an advertisement.

I believe that if Sweet Tooth wants to publicize its business, they should buy paid advertising.

This is unfair to competing businesses, and NDN should consider adopting a policy that does not allows these kinds of "news stories".

Ridiculous comment. A one time story letting people know the business is there? That is not advertising, just useful local info. If it appeared week after week, that would be advertising, for which the business would pay.

I agree with Chuck - all or nothing. No one told the public when my business opened.

Folks... it's called a News Brief - anyone can get one put in the paper for free. You just have to contact the paper. It's not like they sent a reporter there for a big interview. Ease up people. Geez...

I am interested in knowing of any bakery that opens in North Naples. Publix no longer bakes their own cakes or pastry as it now comes in frozen. They defrost the cake... frost it with icing... and call it FRESH cake for the next several days... yuck!! I am hoping this new bakery does their own baking. <s>

The opening of new businesses in any city is always announced in the business section of a local newspaper. Who's fault is it if you did not notify the local paper when you opened up your business? Snooze and you lose the FREE announcement if you do not notify.

As a snowbird who comes down to Naples for
one month each year, I appreciate hearing of new
business openings via NDN.
I vist NDN web every day in order to try and keep
up on local doings.
