A destination wedding in Naples often comes with a large price tag, but not for one couple. Hollie Harrah, formerly of Cape Coral, and her fiancé Jeff Gorden won a national contest for a “Wedding in Paradise” put on by the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau for a June 8 wedding.
Contestants submitted two-minute video entries telling their stories. Harrah and Gorden, who live in Chandler, Ariz., made a video that mentions how unappealing a summer wedding is due to hot summer weather and also sang a song together.
The couple found out they were the winners on April 15. The prize wedding package is valued at more than $30,000 and includes a 20-guest wedding with accommodations at the Inn on Fifth, a beach ceremony with flowers and music, limousine service, wedding cake, a horse-drawn carriage, photography and video of the event. To top it all off, they couple also gets a five night stay at La Playa Beach Resort.
Hear the bride-to-be talk about winning the contest in the Studio 55 video with this story.
