A Bonita Springs man was seriously injured Wednesday night when his truck overturned and collided with a utility pole on Interstate 75.
Antonio Mireles, 26, was driving south on the interstate around 8:55 p.m. when he lost control of his Ford F-150 just north of Daniels Parkway. His truck swerved off the west shoulder of the road, overturned several times and struck a utility pole.
Mireles was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital, where he is currently in the intensive care unit, according to a nurse.
The southbound lane of I-75 was rerouted at Colonial Boulevard while rescuers cleaned up the scene.
