High school football: Naples ranked No. 1 in Class 3A; Immokalee, South receive votes

The defending Class 3A state champion Naples High School football team was ranked No. 1 in its class in the first Associated Press poll released on Monday.

The Golden Eagles went 15-0 last season and beat St. Augustine for the championship, its second in eight years.

Immokalee was first in others receiving votes in Class 3A, and South Fort Myers tied for 13th with five votes.
