FORT MYERS Cole Devries pitched five solid innings, Steven Singleton slugged his fifth homer of the season and the host Fort Myers Miracle downed the Lakeland Flying Tigers 6-3 on Thursday night.
The Miracle broke a 2-2 in the fourth with a three-run rally. Danny Lehmann brought in the first run with an RBI single, and Fort Myers scored the final two runs on a wild pitch and a passed ball.
Devries (10-9) earned the win, striking out eight while allowing three hits and three walks. Carlos Gutierrez pitched two scoreless innings for his first save of the season.
The Miracle begin a three-game set with the Tampa Yankees at 7 tonight at Hammond Stadium. It is the final series of the regular season.
