Naples-based hospital operator Health Management Associates Inc. has completed the sale of its 79-bed Southwest Regional Medical Center in Southwest Little Rock, Ark., to Baptist Health of Little Rock.
This transaction is effective Aug. 27, and HMA expects to use the proceeds of the sale for general corporate purposes, which includes debt repayment.
HMA owns and operates 56 hospitals, with about 8,000 licensed beds, in non-urban communities throughout the U.S.
