— A 45-year-old plumber sent by his employer to work at the Collier County jail Thursday morning was arrested after authorities determined his driver license and Mexican identification card were bogus.

Armando Celis-Juarez, 45, 4190 Washington Drive, No. 108, Naples, was charged with possession of a fake ID and possession of a fake driver license, both felonies.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has also placed a hold on Celis-Juarez.

Just after 9 a.m. Celis-Juarez, a plumber employed by Shamrock Plumbing, showed jail employees a Florida driver license that looked "fake," the Collier County Sheriff’s Office reported. All contractors or employees of contractors are required to produce valid identification when reporting for work at the jail.

Deputies trained at detecting counterfeit documents determined that Celis-Juarez’s driver license, Mexican ID and Mexican driver license were all counterfeit, officials said.

Anthony Bierley, Shamrock’s on-call plumber Friday night, said his company checked Celis-Juarez’s documents when he was hired. He said he believes Celis-Juarez’s Visa has since expired.

"Our company works in the jail quite regularly here and in Immokalee," Bierley said. "He was our only Hispanic employee. He was bi-lingual and he had illegal documentation, that’s why he was arrested."

Bierley said Celis-Juarez is a good person and a hard worker.

"The only law he ever broke was our immigration laws," Bierley said.

I surprised he didn't call in sick when he found out the job was at the jail. Hmmmmmmm, another high school drop out.

Now we know why Shamrock was the low bidder. Illegal workers for minumim wage. No overtime no holiday pay this is the model employee. I could outbid anyone with a staff of these guys. Whats the matter CCSO didn't matter until they took a chance of getting you in trouble. We in the building industry have been fighting this problem for a long time. Thanks for showing it didn't matter until it was your butt on the line.

"He was our only Hispanic employee, he was bi-lingual and he had illegal documentation, that's why he was arrested."

This sentence above is a quote from Anthony Bierly, the on-call plumber. I understand that he had counterfeit documents on him which is a violation of the law, but can anyone please tell me whether he broke any other laws by being a Hispanic and/or bilingual?

He had a shovel instead of wrenches, a dead giveaway?

Hindsight, pull your head out of your hindend. Do your employees have their documents checked at all the job sites? Or, maybe just at the secure facilities with people who are trained to identify the bogus documents?

"The only law he ever broke was our immigration laws," Bierley said."

Bierley is either an outright lying snake or he's too stupid to KNOW what is against the law and what is not.

"Armando Celis-Juarez, 45, 4190 Washington Drive, No. 108, Naples, was charged with possession of a fake ID and possession of a fake driver license, both felonies."

That's THREE crimes that we KNOW of. Unless Bierly is with this illegal 24 hours a day HE CAN'T SAY FOR SURE that "was the only law he ever broke". What audacity to make a statement like that.......when the FACTS prove otherwise.

Bierly isn't honest either, and Shamrock Plumbing has ruined their reputation with a spokesman like that.

Illegals NEVER "become" honest......they just take their dishonesty to newer and bigger heights.

All your babies will be Americanized as the rest of the young people here and probably won't even speak Spanish..and besides, Mexicans are the majority in Mexico and look at what a rat hole it is. We'll just do what we always do and create areas that are too expensive for stupid people to live. Then slave labor will be even more plentiful.

Look at what overbreeding has done to 3rd world countries.......it keeps them poor and illiterate.

No matter how MANY breeders they have, they'll perpetuate illiteracy for generation upon generation.

No wonder 3rd world illiterates haven't contributed to global innovation or progress......they only know how to BRING DOWN governments, not build them.

That's too funny.....

Next time you hear a journalism student claim to be anti-cencorship, make sure you tell them that they're in the WRONG field.

American media today is no different than PRAVDA was in the 70's. Welcome to the new (Soviet) Union.

Sorry, should have read: Censorship

#17 Posted by okay on August 30, 2008 at 8:50 a.m. (Suggest removal)

I wonder what OTHER "key" words trigger this censorship?

#18 Posted by okay on August 30, 2008 at 8:53 a.m. (Suggest removal)

monkey

#19 Posted by okay on August 30, 2008 at 8:53 a.m. (Suggest removal)

The Sun Sentinel censors the word monkey, which I find hilarious.

Apparently "monkey" isn't offensive to the Naples News.

Poor schmuck! (The guy in the story, not YourIllegalNextDoor).

He trusted his employer to send him to places that he could work. He didn't understand the unspoken code of "we have no responsibility--he gave us documents." So now he will pay with criminal charges, which were only delayed by the criminal employer. We need to enforce jail time on employers.

That being said...

WELL YourIllegalNextDoor! You say "YOUR country" about the USA, but isn't it your country too? I think so, but maybe I'm wrong. If the whole country were to become Hispanic, so what? What we ARE is not an ethnicity, we are a country that believes in itself, in its laws, in its systems, and in its beliefs.

If you believe that all men are created equal, and that we are endowed by the Creator with certain inalienable rights, you know that society is merciful and generous to the poor who may arrive here, but that we can't have anyone breaking our laws.

You will clearly see that we can't let seditionists, law-breakers, remain in the country. Legal immigrants clear a medical evaluation and a criminal background check. They are a great value to our nation. Illegal entrants only continue with illegal behavior, surprising even their innocent children.

So you all are JUST now discovering the NDN blog censor?

I had fun when they would substitute "rear" for ass when I typed in Bad Ass coffee and it would come out Bad "rear" coffee. I also tried some other words because I once typed every Tom, Dick and Harry and they came out with every Tom, "male reproductive organs" and Harry. I was literally LMAO. Then I decided maybe it would be good to discuss the Vagina Monologs (the play) and that came out "female reproductive" organs. So I just ragged on NDN and now apparently these words go through but upset off does not. Now upset off has a lot to do with urine. I have also seen this be changed to don't "urine" on me. Versus don't urine on me.
As in P.I.S.S.E.D. off.

You can right penis and that seems to be ok.

I get upset off about censorship also. It is ridiculous.

Can someone write about pond scum? (s.c.u.m.) If you gather the pond scum into a bag, would this be a lovely human being?...nope, not a s.cum. ba.g, but a "lovely human being????" c'mon NDN. How is s.cum ba.g a word that needs censoring? frell it. You can imagine what "frell" is...LOL. I really don't use this word normally in conversation or in any form of written communication, but this challenge is worth trying to see what words are substituted for what is used quite commonly every day by many people.

What a pickle. Anyway, I am happy CCSO is doing a great job with illegal immigrants.

Dearest ILLEGAL,

You speak of the lack of intelligence regarding your fellow posters. Please allow me to enlighten you. Words such as "dude" and "y'all" (not spelled "ya'll" by the way) only make you sound as ridiculous and uneducated as you most likely are. Your idea of dominating by popping out as many kids as you and your ten?!?! sisters can, is also a very good indicator of how little intelligence you possess. Just so you know, having children does not raise your I.Q. People such as yourself should not be aloud to bear children. You only breed more hatred and poverty.

Looks to me like he broke 3 laws. The first was coming here illegally, the next 2 were described above. Yep a model citizen, Give me a break!

Dream on you guys. The "illegal next door" is a troll. Those postings are far too literate for anybody that silly. And as far as moving to Austrailia- does that country even take Americans? I think they're smart enough to understand that the more Americans you have in your population, the dumber it gets. And it wouldn't take that many either!

#37 Posted by wes on September 1, 2008 at 9:17 a.m. (Suggest removal)

"The only law he ever broke was our immigration laws," Bierley said.

If that were true, he wouldn't have been arrested. I have yet to read any article stating that the person taken into custody was arrested solely for being in this country illegally, despite Federal Immigration Law giving ICE the power to do so. In every instance, the illegal alien ALSO committed a least one other crime: possession of stolen identity or fraudulent documentation (felonies), driving without a license, DUI, leaving the scene of an acccident, rape, murder, drug running or possession of drugs, illegal possession of a firearm, robbery, etc.

Shamrock Plumbing is equally guilty and should also be held accountable. Having their business license revoked, jail time, and a very large fine would be sufficient for their part in this.
