Becker named first FGCU PGM scholarship recipient by South Florida PGA Section

The South Florida PGA has announced Jason Becker of Fort Myers is the first recipient of the South Florida PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) Scholarship at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Becker was selected by the South Florida PGA Scholarship Committee as the 2008 recipient of the $2,500 award. Becker will be entering his senior year of studies this upcoming fall, and will act as the honorary president of the PGM Club, a club he developed.
Currently, Becker works as an assistant golf professional at the Golf Club of the Everglades in Naples.
This is the first year that the South Florida PGA has awarded the PGM Scholarship at Florida Gulf Coast University. The award was created last year to help aspiring young men and women financially through the Professional Golf Management program.
The scholarship is open to all Florida Gulf Coast University students currently enrolled in or entering into his/her junior or senior year of studies in the PGM program. Students must also have completed Level 1 of the PGM program and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
