Fort Myers' Robby Kennedy, who competes for Swim Florida, failed to qualify for the semifinals in the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trils in the 200-meter breaststroke preliminaries on Wednesday afternoon in Omaha, Neb.
Kennedy finished 57th out of 63 swimmers in 2:23.06. The top 16 advanced to the semifinals.
Earlier, Cape Coral's Maida Turnadzic, who also competes for Swim Florida, failed to qualify for the semifinals in the 200-meter butterfly preliminaries.
Turnadzic, 18, was 91st overall in 2:20.49.
On Thursday, Swim Florida's Erika Erndl of Naples will try to qualify for the 100-meter freestyle.
