Sheila's Out Shopping: Beverage Break

Relax with a tall glass of homemade lemonade or brewed iced tea and enjoy the fireworks on Independence Day. In fact, either thirst-quenching drink is something you can guzzle any day of the week. Pour your favorite beverage from an old-fashioned pitcher or a new one that has a high-tech design. I found plenty of both around town.

Linens ‘n Things has a ceramic jug that is available in yellow, white or stripes ($29.99, on sale). Make your lemonade in this handsome jar and it will disappear before your eyes.

Pier One has a glass jug ($25) or a green-tinted pitcher ($18) that will hold enough for a party. You can even get a lemonade mix ($10) if you don’t want to make your own from scratch.

Pottery Barn was my last stop, and I found a clear glass pitcher ($24) and a regal-looking one on a pedestal ($39). They also have large, clear glass drink dispensers with a spout ($79) and acrylic dispensers ($40) that will hold enough for a party.
