The Fort Myers Miracle slugged three solo home runs in the first three innings Tuesday night in Vero Beach to drop the Devil Rays 6-3 and end a three-game losing streak.
Daniel Berg and Eli Tintor went deep in the second inning, while Juan Portes added the final homer in the third.
Fort Myers added a run in the fifth on Yancarlos Ortiz’s RBI single, which scored Tintor. The Miracle completed the scoring with two more in the sixth when Edward Ovalle scored from third on a wild pitch and Berg singled home Wilson Ramos.
Matthew Fox (5-3) picked up the win, allowing three runs on eight hits with one walk in five innings. Anthony Slama pitched 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn his 18th save and lower his ERA to 0.75.
