It’s one of the blessings of being a local.
Along with quieter beaches and quicker commutes, summer in Naples also means great deals at fine restaurants. Their prices may normally be beyond your budget, but with fixed-price menus and coupons, these restaurants aren’t out of reach anymore.
“In summertime it’s slow, so we feel like it’s time to give back to the people who live in Naples,” says Gianfranco Loreti, chef and owner of Ristorante Ciao, an Italian restaurant on Fourth Avenue South. “We try to bring new customers to the restaurant without making them spend a lot of money.”
At Ciao, the Bay House and EVOO Market & Bistro, the specials are available anytime the restaurants are serving dinner. Some restaurants, including Bleu Provence, Chardonnay Nouveau and the Grill Club Churrascaria, offer fixed price menus for specific hours only.
Along with all the individual deals, local restaurant group Naples Originals is hosting a restaurant week Monday through July 27. Members of the group, which are all independent and locally-owned restaurants, will be offering lunches for $10.08 and dinners for $20.08. The group has more than 40 members, including HB’s on the Gulf, Ridgway Bar & Grill, Naples Tomato and Stoney’s Steak House.
“In season, the locals always complain that it’s difficult to get into restaurants,” says Lisa Boet, Naples Originals president and owner of Bamboo Cafe on 12th Avenue South. “So this is a program that we’re offering that benefits them.”
Each member restaurant will come up with its own menu and some of those menus will be on the group’s Web site, www.naplesoriginals.com. $1 of each meal will be donated to the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
Call the restaurants for more details about the Naples Originals menus and the other deals listed below. Here’s a handful of the deals available at Naples restaurants.
