I wouldn't pay a dollar to see her or her commie husband! They both hate America and what it stands for! His middle name says it all!

Close-minded people are everywhere. Support your candidate, don't bash others. If the nominee you are backing is so clearly superior to all others; why reduce yourself to name-calling, bashing his spouse or picking on something as trivial as a middle name?

THIS IS AMERICA...... JUST VOTE !!!!

She is a wonderful wife, a great mother, a dedicated leader, a peacemaker, she's accountable to Americans, and she's about to be the next FIRST LADY, too.

I'm looking forward to seeing her speak in Ft. Myers.

Yes we can, and WE WILL fo farther, WITH OBAMA!

I'm sure Mrs. Obama will have a more honest take on today's economy than our current President.

Let's just say "everything's okay, and walk away," is what this current administration does too often in the face of economic strain in all sectors.

Didn't Obama get upset when his wife was criticized for her commments regarding her being proud of the country? If the voters, media, etc aren't allowed to criticize her, it seems a little hypocritical to use Michelle for fundraising. She's either on the bench or in the game. You can't have it both ways.

If the highly-educated people in America are all supporting Obama, it's easy to spot the people on these blogs who are McCain supporters without them even mentioning it (how do you guys manage to stay awake listening to same ol' same ol' McCain? My TV actually went to sleep on him today - hence the reason i'm sitting here. Why are you wasting your time here? You can't change the mind of an Obama supporter to vote Republican instead no matter how hard your hatred works for you. Isnt there a McCain article you could be posting in? Or did they all fall asleep in there too?

#21 Posted by fearisfailure on July 15, 2008 at 12:40 p.m. (Suggest removal)

Election campaigns are nothing more than a sales pitch anyway... in the long run you never get what you'll pay for it. No matter who gets elected... other government hierarchy will tell them how it's going to be anyway.

#22 Posted by Colliercounty0101 on July 15, 2008 at 12:45 p.m. (Suggest removal)

feareisfailure:

You're absolutely correct. It's easy to spot a McCain supporter by their negative comments not only on this article but most every other article that has to do with minorities. Very very negative people with hatred in their hearts and minds. Sad. If McCain knew that these were his people, I don't think he'd be too proud. As for me, I have nothing negative to say about McCain just because I support Obama. He with the most votes will win and life will go on.

#23 Posted by americanpie on July 15, 2008 at 12:51 p.m. (Suggest removal)

Pray tell, just how is Obama gonna change anything? I haven't heard anything come out of his mouth yet that has convinced me. He's just an empty suit saying what people wanna hear. Apparently, he has a few drinking the Kool-aid. And his wife is scary. Very angry. She managed to get where she is by riding on the backs of others. And she doesn't act very thankful about it either. Just take, take, take. Sorry, not what I what in the White House.

oh, additionally, Michelle is a great lady - you may have been watching too much FOX news, turn off Hannity for a minute and then you can make uo your own mind. She's nothing like what the Fox extremists tell you.

#26 Posted by fearisfailure on July 15, 2008 at 1:10 p.m. (Suggest removal)

Roscoe,

I think you need to buy a ticket to hear Mrs. Obama speak in Ft. Myers. Maybe, she'll bring her beautiful family, too.

She has much more to offer than oldy Mcainiac, whose wife FORGOT to pay her taxes on a piece of property, because she HAS SO MANY pieces of property to pay on. Gee, to loose track of all that income property is so sad, too. I feel for her, I really do.

The McCainiacs are in touch with my American family...really they are. NOT.

OBAMA!

I've checked out Obama's webpage. Nothing there, meaning an empty suit. He says what you all want to hear. Remember good old Jimmy Carter? He was all about change, too. People went ga-ga over him. Boy, he did such a whiz bang job, didn't he? Well, shoot maybe you think he did. I see Obama as a slick used car salesman and his angry, bitter wife as the one who wears the pants in the family. That's just how I see them.
BTW, I'm not excited about McCain either, but he comes across a lot better than Obama does.

#28 Posted by Roscoe on July 15, 2008 at 1:41 p.m. (Suggest removal)

Sorry Roscoe - theres no way you could have read it in that short of a time. I suspect you are not being honest. Did you even look for it? It's a pretty big website so I understand if you didn't find the document.

#29 Posted by fearisfailure on July 15, 2008 at 1:46 p.m. (Suggest removal)

And Roscoe - take off those glasses you are seeing the world through. They are giving you a distorded view of reality.

PS - you can click on 'LEARN' and 'ISSUES' - hours of great reading for you. I'd be happy to provide you with it all on audio if you have any literacy problems. By the way, Obama has a plan for that too.

Had it ever occurred to you that I checked out his web page awhile back? Yes, I did go through it, thank you very much. It's great that he wants change, but what he says, I just don't see how he's any different than anybody else who says the same thing. We've been there, done that. I do see just fine with the glasses I have on. I'm just not gonna drink the Kool-aid that you seem to have done and fall for his lines. I suppose you think he walks on water, too.

$500, $250, $100 on 24 July 2008 at 8:30 A.M.??

Oh yeah they definitely want the average working Joe/ Josephine there. Take a good chunk of his/ her paycheck, at least 1/2 a day off of work, and use that expensive gas stuff for an extra trip during the week.

All to hear again how she and her husband want change...and cash, all major credit cards, personal checks, certified checks, cashiers checks, stock transfers, and more.

Why not use a much larger venue like the Germain Arena? Set it up for a Saturday when most of the people actually have a day off? Charge only $15 dollars a head and get your tickets through Ticketmaster or $20 at the gate?

Oh wait that would force the "haves" to mix with the "have not as much" with the "has even less" on an equal seating basis. And, obviously, that ain't "Democratic".

So, like the Republicans apparently, your importance to the Obama's is based only on what or how much ($cha-ching$) you can do for them.

Someone tell me again about "CHANGE".

#33 Posted by Neal on July 15, 2008 at 2:31 p.m. (Suggest removal)

So, tell me again how keeping the status quo (opposite of change) will help the nation? Is that what McCain is about - keeping the status quo?

I wonder if they'll bring there paster of 20 years with, oh thats right they put him on hold till after the election.
I wonder if they'll invite some of those ignorant, fear mongering gun toting middle class people.
I wonder if La Raza (the people) as Obama said the meaning was yesterday but which really means the RACE, to the beggars banquet.
I wonder if she'll tell them today is the first time I'm proud to be an America or will she flip flop again.
Maybe she'll bring her neighbor Bill ayers with, Ayers was a 1960s radical, a leader in the Weathermen, a group which exploded a few bombs, one of which accidentially killed three of its members. Ayers, along with his wife Bernadine Dohrn, went undergound for years only to eventually reemerge to become a University of Illinois education professor, a Hyde Park neighbor to Obama and, now, a touchpoint in the 2008 presidential race.
Yes the Obama's really can pickem

No thanks, I'm good with my granola bars in the morning. I could get a year's supply for $500. If he wins, I hope those that support him don't cry about the higher taxes. I mean, you are already crying about the property taxes here and wanted the tax break Jan 29th. I can't wait to see what you will say, or should I say cry, when he gets in office. And why would you want to hear her speak when she cried a couple weeks ago that she shouldn't be attacked by the Republicans, yet she thinks it's ok for her to attack them. Get a life lady.

RockfordGrad #60...like I said "$cha-ching$"

SDOS #57...Don't change the subject. Here is a perfect opportunity to discuss OBAMA and him only. Let's do away with the old "my guy vs. your guy" argument and stick only with Obama's canidacy and what he does and does not bring to the table.

I have downloaded the, in some quarters, lauded "Blueprint for Change" as suggested. Currently I am only about six pages into it but at this time all I can see are many variations of "Senator Obama has a plan for (insert something here)".

I haven't yet came across an actual "Blueprint" for anything. Not an "artists rendition" or even a "rough sketch" to be found at this point (again about six pages into it).

The only thing I seem to be seeing, at this point, is that Obama is going to make very heavy use of the stack of blank papers that have the heading "Executive Order". That even at this point he seems ready to ride roughshod over both the Legislative and Judicial branches of our government.

For all the fine words, up to the sixth page, it seems to be "my way or the highway".

But I still have over fifty pages left to read.

I just hope it has a happy ending.

Current nationwide polls are showing Obama and McCain nexk and neck.

Considering the popularity of GWB, that's an indicator of the true incompetence of the Democratic leadership. Let's not forget the fact that the best and the brightest liberal democrats
out there, all worked together in 2004 to ensure Bush didn't get a second term. How did that work out?

Never underestimate the Dems ability to **** up a sure thing.

Wright just started his anti American/ anti white sermons or has Osama had over 20 years of this junk pumped into his head. I suspect the latter.

I do believe if he is elected we will some some changes. Unfortunately I really don't want to live in a Muslim run communist country.

Obama is just saying whatever he has to in order to get elected what do you want to bet once elected all bets are off.

Roscoe, while you're checking out Obama's site, click on commentary from some of Naples youngest Dem's, the President of College Dem's. to be exact.....hales from Naples/Golden Gate... they are 500 hundred strong, and adding numbers up in Tampa.

This is a campaign about the youth here. Their future, and what it represents to them!

Hopes and dreams are dashed in McCain's world, and Gen Y's and Z's are voting now.

Better read more about Obama!

He has the younger votes behind him....the I.M.er's who communicate at the speed of light, and still get their message out to others very cleary. Check out Youtube if you think I'm kidding.

We can learn something from them, and they will be voting in this election for Obama.

Better yet, stop by the new Obama Office located on Fifth Avenue amongst all the cute shops.
