Another day in SW Florida, another record gas price

STORY TOOLS

After a nearly two-week respite from setting records, the price of unleaded gasoline and diesel fuel set a record today for the second day in a row in Southwest Florida.

The daily AAA Fuel Gauge Report notes that the average price for a gallon of self-serve unleaded gasoline in the Fort Myers-Cape Coral area (Naples is not included in the report) is $4.064, up a fraction of a cent over Wednesday's price. Diesel fuel is also up a cent and a half to $4.848 per gallon.

The daily AAA Fuel Gauge Report is not a reliable source.

I see lower prices everywhere I go.

Maybe the reporter could report instead of relying on a report by a tourist agency.

Naples is not included because prices were steady, Race Trac on pine ridge decreased by .01

The price of crude oil fell by about $10 a barrel yesterday. Hopefully that'll bring us some relief at the pumps soon.

C'mon Rock, you know you are kidding yourself.
You will just have to learn to live with it.

#7 I felt some hope in Obama at first, you mention Jesus....why did Obama allow himself to be mentored and attend services given by the hateful Rev Wright? No acceptable answers have come forward that satisfy my concerns.

I'd like to know why the NAPLES Daily News (AKA Mullet Wrapper) is reporting something that has nothing to do with Naples. Perhaps this should be in the banner? I am sure there is a AAA report on Naples gas prices somewhere. Or maybe the could just look at the gas stations as the drive from the headquarters that is in Naples to check on the progress of the new headquarters that is not in Naples.

Waldini,
How does caring about the environment, caring about other people, caring about education for youth, caring about healthcare for all, etc. make one a loon?

Rockford is delusional here. You know Mr. Obama is your next president. Admit it, or run away kicking and crying. Your choice.

OK, Democrat loons,
Republican goons.

Cutthroatliberal you need to get a life nobody gives a rats rear about gay marriage, for the major issues are the economy and the war on terror.Obama couldn't run a deli never mind a country. Dems blew it by throwing Hillary under the bus, way to discriminate against women . Also Bush the worst president in US history and Barry Osama only has a 4 point lead on Alzheimer McCain , for how weak is that?after the abortion of Bush he should have at least double digit lead.....not a liberl nor conservative just a CAPITALIST PIG AND PROUD....Barry Hussein is socialist clown. Tax the hard working and middle class to help the lazy.

Btw Oil is down 17 points from a high of 147 to currently trading at 130....Ouch to be caught at the top, for all these novice investors buying oil futures will get burn just like Tech crash of 2000 and housing flipping in 2005.

JohnyWalker, would you like to discuss the economy? John McSame offers the status quo to Bush's economy.

I must say some of the people blogging are truly staying the course, as Bush tells them to do, And how is that working for you? Are you better off now with these Brainiac's in office?

LOL CutthroatLiberal. I've noticed the same thing. Some people have no thoughts of their own. It's easier to just agree with other's posts.

Thanks, Iron
I appreciate you having my back sometimes.
Continue to fight the good fight.
Although it is irritating at times when we are insulted, lets not forget the pleasure we receive when these stuffed shirts get all upset.

Ahh, the sound of an old, closed minded Republicans racing ticker....

Don't worry old timer, only a few months left...

Yea, because it always has to be a fight?

No.

Neez, I have spent the last 7 years being called many things. Unpatriotic is the one that burns me the most.
From this side, the aggression has always seemed to come from the right. Remember, we are the wimpy Democrats.
Well we will get our man and hopefully the rhetoric will change.
I will say most of my posts are done with a smile.

Overall, it's all good.
Onward...

M. Hunt....try to find the letter "y" on your keyboard.

While you're at it, look for the lowest gas prices in Naples and ask yourself "WHY" you could even make such a stupid remark regarding gas prices not bothering Naples residents.

Stop Banner bashing...and manage to get a grip on the fact we are in the trenches of an oil war, high gas prices, and a terrible economy.

But this doesn't touch Naples, huh moron?
