COLLIER SHERIFF

Deputies searching for missing North Naples man

Collier County sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in finding a 22-year-old North Naples man who has been missing since late Thursday.

Ryan Kiskadden was last seen around 11 p.m. leaving his girlfriend’s residence on Pineland Road in North Naples.

Deputies said there is concern that Kiskadden may harm himself. It was unknown whether Kiskadden got into a vehicle after he left his girlfriend’s residence; he is not the registered owner of an automobile, deputies said.

Deputies said Kiskadden is 6 feet tall, of average build and has brown hair, brown eyes and a goatee.

Anyone with information on Kiskadden’s whereabouts is asked to call the Collier County Sheriff’s Office at 239.793.9300.

Fort Myers man had drugs in car, authorities say

A traffic stop in North Naples ended in a 26-year-old man’s arrest on felony charges Thursday after Collier County sheriff’s deputies say they found drugs in his car.

Joshua Steven Stutzman of Fort Myers was charged with opium trafficking and possession of narcotic equipment.

Deputies stopped Stutzman in the 1500 block of U.S. 41 N. shortly before 8:30 p.m. because the green Chrysler Stratus he was driving had illegal window tint, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

While speaking to Stutzman deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the car.

During a search of the Stratus deputies found a cigarette package containing 67 Roxycodone pills, a prescription narcotic pain reliever. The pills weighed 8.52 grams and had an estimated value of $670, reports said.

Neither Stutzman nor his passenger had a prescription for the pills, reports said.

The search also turned up a glass marijuana pipe.

Further investigation by deputies revealed Stutzman did not have a valid driver’s license and that there was a warrant for his arrest by another law enforcement agency, deputies said.

Stutzman was also charged with driving without a valid license.

Deputies: Career criminal had crack in car

A man who Collier County sheriff’s deputies say is a career criminal was arrested Thursday after they found crack cocaine in his car, sheriff’s reports said.

Anthony Rivera, 44, 2601 44th St. S.W., Golden Gate, was charged with possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence, both felonies. He is also facing a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest.

Rivera was harassing guests outside the Red Roof Inn, 1925 Davis Blvd., East Naples, the Sheriff’s Office reported. He was not a guest at the hotel.

Rivera was sweating profusely and exhibiting signs of possible drug use, reports said. He gave deputies permission to search his car.

The search turned up three pieces of crack cocaine, deputies said.

The Sheriff’s Office described Rivera as a documented career criminal in Collier County.

Since March 6, coyotes have been fingered in a string of attacks against dogs, cats and goats in Lee and Collier counties. Coyotes have killed three small dogs, injured three others, and caused a man who came into contact with the coyote’s saliva and a woman who was bitten by one to have rabies shots.
