Palmetto Ridge junior Alberto Cardenas was one of five Collier County and south Lee County prep baseball players named to the Florida Sports Writers Association Class 4A All-State team on Tuesday.
Cardenas, an outfielder, was named to the second team, while Estero junior Tyler Bighames was named to the third team.
Recognized as honorable mention were Palmetto Ridge senior Michael Slabach, Naples sophomore Brad Fieger and South Fort Myers senior Ricky Ingram.
