Naples City Council on Wednesday voted unanimously to oppose leasing Alligator Alley.
The resolution, proposed by Councilman Bill Willkomm, mirrors one the Collier County Metropolitan Planning Organization voted on last week.
Willkomm and Councilwoman Dee Sulick are the city’s representatives on the board.
The resolution states that Naples City Council “joins the Collier County MPO in its opposition to the proposed leasing of Alligator Alley toll facility to a private concessionaire.”
Eight bidders are competing for the right to control Alligator Alley for the next 50 to 75 years.

This is all very sweet but what is the council's decision on drilling in the Artic National Wildlife Reserve.
