The Bonita Springs RE/MAX Coastal Living office, operated by broker and owner Robert Vreeland, opened in November 2007. The office is part of the worldwide network of RE/MAX offices and handles real estate sales and rentals.

Linda Vreeland, Robert’s wife, is a retired hair colorist from Cherry Hill, N.J. She is also an accredited staging professional, who designs and does staging work for the office realtors and for private clients. She now devotes her time to doing her part to grow the business and to make their RE/MAX office unique in the field.

“My daughter-in-law, Erin, is the office manager and Michael Padova, my son, is also a Realtor. All of the agents are like part of an extended family,” said Linda Vreeland.

The 10-strong realty office boasts efficient, personal service. Realtor Robert DeMao is one of the friendliest agents around. His easy manner and quick smile lets you know that he is there to help and to make the daunting chore of house-hunting as painless as possible.

“We are here for the community, visitors and out-of-towners alike. If you’re going to live in Florida, why not live near the coast?” DeMao said.

The altruistic Vreeland is also desirous of giving back to the community. She organized an open house on Thursday, “to celebrate our fabulous beach lifestyle.” Several hundred invitations were sent to area business owners, clients and friends, and a sizable number responded.

Visitors sipped wine while listening to the feel-good, island sounds of musician Trevor Earl. Bonita Beach Road restaurants pitched in by supplying trays of goodies, sandwiches and samples from their kitchens. Passage to India, Wyld’s Café, Crust Bistro, Rodes Fresh & Fancy, The Tiki Bar Café, Enzo’s, Sneaky Pete’s, Futuro Pizzeria and Michael’s on Beach were among those represented.

“It’s important that the area businesses get together, network and support each other. I’m just doing my part,” said Vreeland.

As a national supporter of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure of SW Florida, Vreeland held a raffle to benefit the organization. Prizes were donated by The Floor Club, which donated a $1,200 carpet and by M.E. Parker, a local photographer. Parker’s distinctive artwork adorns the office walls and includes framed photographs of sunsets, beaches, shells and birds. Snook Bight Marina also donated a free day boat rental.

Upcoming events include a 5K walk/run for Susan G. Komen for the Cure of SW Florida for breast awareness on March 15 at the Coconut Point Mall. Interested participants may sign up at www.komenswfl.org.

For more information contact Robert Vreeland at the RE/MAX office at 948-1100. The office is located at 3725 Bonita Beach Road, Suite 4, Bonita Springs, Fl 34134, in the new Sandpiper Plaza.
