Former Firecat wins almost $250,000 on "Deal or No Deal''
Former Florida Firecats fullback/linebacker Mike Levy won $247,000 on the TV game show “Deal or No Deal” in an episode that aired this week.
Levy played in seven games for the Firecats during the 2005 season. He appeared in an episode that was filmed in the Philippines. Video clips of his appearance on the show can be found on the show's Web site.
Levy was a four-year af2 veteran playing with Albany from 2002-2003 and Cape Fear in 2004 prior to joining the Firecats in 2005. He rushed for 31 yards and collected seven tackles along with one fumble recovery for Florida.
During the show, Levy turned down offers of $161,000 and $199,000 before ultimately settling for the $274,000 prize. He was disappointed to find out that his case contained $750,000 at the end of the show, but stated that he was happy with the prize that he won.
