Naples High graduate Kara Weigle, a junior utility player for Michigan State, was named to the Big Ten’s all-tournament team on Monday.
Weigle, who mostly plays left field, was 4-for-6 with a double and two RBI in two tournament games. She also threw out a runner at the plate.
Weigle finished the season batting .294 with three doubles, two triples and two home runs, while driving in 21 runs and scoring 19 runs.
