In a deal to be finalized today, Juniper Communities, a national owner-operator of assisted living and skilled nursing centers, will acquire the Encore Senior Village at Naples for $3.125 million.
The 70-unit “memory care” community is being acquired from Encore Senior Living. It will be known as the Juniper Village at Naples.
Founded in 1988, Juniper is ranked by Provider magazine as one of the country’s “Top 40 Assisted Living Providers.” The company has operations in four states: Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Colorado.
“Juniper Village at Naples continues our company’s expansion to serve markets where we have identified a need for our services,” said Lynne S. Katzmann, founder and president of Juniper Communities, in a news release.
The center will undergo upgrades and programs will be added, including daily and monthly activities to “promote and maintain an active body, an engaged mind and a fulfilled spirit.” The community will become more “green” with more environmentally-friendly programs, technologies and products.
“We may be new to Naples, but we have been serving residents in our communities and striving to give each resident the most independence and highest quality of life possible, for over 20 years,” said Linda Donato, regional director of operations, in a statement.
The company also operates Juniper Village in Cape Coral.

Good news, I understand the putting green behind the diaper laundry was shut down after the developer filed Chapter 11.
