Editorial: Award suits Mayor Nelson

One more hurrah for Ben Nelson, the mayor of Bonita Springs, who won this year’s Bonita Springs Citizen of the Year award.
The award sponsors — the News-Press, the Bonita Banner and the Daily News — recognize what Bonita voters knew by naming Nelson mayor after serving eight years as a council member. He has that special knack for blending leadership, compromise, history and progress in a way that tends to, as Dale Carnegie might put it, win friends and influence people.
We need more public servants and everyday citizens from that special mold. They make our community a better place.

Since March 6, coyotes have been fingered in a string of attacks against dogs, cats and goats in Lee and Collier counties. Jeff - I couldn't agree more. Ben Nelson is a perfect fit for the mayoral gig in Bonita. He inspires people to work together, he thinks outside the box and he finds solutions.
Congratulations, Ben. The city is lucky to have you.

Councilman 2 terms = 8 years turning his back on Mana Hell Hole. As long term resident witnessed floods he did squat re: the inevitable.
Mostly does what the boyz want ain't exactly thinking outside the box, just another square fit for square hole.
