BONITA SPRINGS Bonita Springs City Council approved unanimously Wednesday the placement of buffer walls, landscaping and chain-link fences along several recently completed roadways.
The landscaping, walls and fences would be placed in areas along East Terry Street, Old 41 and Shangri-La Roads, and Imperial Parkway. The estimated cost for the entire project is $344,040.
On East Terry Street, all work will be done between Old 41 Road and Imperial Parkway. There will be two landscaping buffers of about 130 feet along two properties, 125 feet of chain link fence along one property and 2,365 feet of buffer wall along 16 properties.
A total of 1,720 feet of buffer wall along the east side of Old 41 Road will be placed starting at Sandy Hallow Lane and going northwest towards the intersection with Shangri-La Road, where the wall will turn and end across from Cockleshell Drive. The wall will skip two properties where the owner would not permit easement.
Along Imperial Parkway, an eight-foot tall, 800-feet long buffer wall and six-foot tall, 535-feet long buffer wall will be placed on the side of the road where it runs along the Southern Pines Development.
