BONITA SPRINGS A 19-year-old South Fort Myers man remained jailed Wednesday pending posting of $5,000 bond in connection with at least one robbery in Bonita Springs.
Lisandro Resendiz, of 18504 Ocala Road, Fort Myers, was arrested Tuesday by Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a charge of robbery. He was found at a residence in the 18000 block of Iris Road in San Carlos Park.
Authorities say Resendiz robbed Mario Lopez, 27, of money and a cellular telephone on Sunday. The incident occurred in the 26000 block of Bridgeport Lane in Bonita Springs.
Reports say Lopez and his brother were walking home from work when three men in a black vehicle began following them along Rosemary Street. Lopez identified Resendiz through a photo lineup as the man who struck him with a stick and stole his money and phone, records show.
Deputies traced Resendiz through the license plate on a Ford SUV involved in a second incident Monday where Roso T. Cifuentes, 44, of Bonita Springs, was robbed of his cell phone by at least two men. The Ford belongs to Resendiz’ mother, who told deputies her son is the usual driver of the vehicle.
