What is your favorite TV show? Why? I watch news all the time. The TV is connected to the light switch, so it goes on automatically. It’s either CNN or Fox. When I’m in the car, I do the same thing with the radio. I love that I disagree with the liberals.
Do you watch any sports on TV? I watch football if the (Chicago) Bears are playing; that’s my team. My uncle Billy played for them from 1922 to 1924.
Do you think it’s fair that upcoming changes mean broadcast TV will need a converter to receive the signal? If I can’t watch it for free, I guess I would just borrow DVDs from the library. Fair is a marketplace. I see no obligation to keep obsolete technology going. I do think that they will lose some audience.
What do you think of the current political coverage? I think people take their right to vote for granted. There should be a requirement that everyone — men and women both, sign up at age 18 for some sort of public service; military, park ranger, police or Peace Corps. Then, they would be certified as true citizens and allowed to vote.
Is TV getting better or worse? I don’t think it’s any different. If I don’t like something, I channel surf until I find something else to leave on.
