A man and his teenage daughter are facing felony charges in connection with an attack on a 23-year-old man in East Naples over the weekend.
Ronnie Lynn Bishop, 36, no address listed, and Amanda Lynn Bishop, 15, are each charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Collier County Sheriff's officials.
Arrest reports say Seth Trombley told deputies that Amanda Lynn Bishop called him on his cell phone four times Sunday, wanting him to come over to “hang out” her house at 979 Coconut Circle.
Trombley arrived at her house around 7 p.m. and she let him in, reports said. Another man, who was not identified in sheriff’s reports, was also there.
Trombley said the man asked him if he sold drugs or could obtain drugs for them, reports said. He said he became uncomfortable and got up to leave when the girl’s father Ronnie Lynn Bishop and another unidentified man entered the house, reports said.
Ronnie Lynn Bishop and one of the other men blocked the door. Trombley told deputies the men punched and beat him with a small blunt object resembling a night stick, reports said. They also handed a .9mm handgun back and forth to one another, threatening him with it, reports said.
Before letting him go, the men took down his personal information from his driver’s license and threatened to come to his house and kill him and his family if he contacted authorities, reports said.
Deputies say Amanda Lynn Bishop lured Trombley over to her house knowing he would come into harm and was therefore arrested and charged with the same offenses as her father, arrest reports said. She was transported to the state Department of Juvenile Justice, reports said.
