The Fort Myers Miracle will open play Saturday in their first Florida State League Championship Series since 1995 against the winner of Friday night's game between the Palm Beach Cardinals and Daytona Cubs.
Fort Myers completed a two-game sweep of Dunedin with a 3-1 victory at Hammond Stadium on Wednesday night to take the West Division crown.
Palm Beach hung on for a 5-4 victory on Thursday night to knot the East Division series at a game apiece. Daytona rallied to post a 10-9 victory Wednesday night in Game 1.
The championship series will begin Saturday at Hammond Stadium, with Game 2 scheduled for Sunday. Both games are set for 7 p.m.
This being an even-numbered year, the East Division winner will have home-field advantage in the championship series. The Miracle will take to the road for Games 3, 4 and 5, if necessary, though game times have not been announced.
All remaining Miracle playoff games will be broadcast on WMYR/AM 1410 and WCNZ/AM 1660.
Fans interested in tickets can call the Miracle at 239-768-4210 or visit miraclebaseball.com.
