Key players: Community — Katie Hanson (eight kills, two aces); Seacrest -- Rachel Bowden, Dalymar Legrand, Savannah King, Chelsea Boll, Kathryn Boll.

Coach’s comment: Community’s Keith Edwards — “Seacrest really hammered us. We need to do a few more things right, and we’ll be right back up there.” Seacrest's Duarte DaSilveira -- "Combined team effort. The team executed the game plan to a 'T.' Community School was an outstanding opponent and had a lot of class.''

Junior varsity: Seacrest won in three.

Coach’s comment: Gulf Coast’s Christy Wright — “We were trying to work on our serve reception tonight. We started out kind of slow, but we got it together. Now we’ve got a little confidence.’’

SOUTH FORT MYERS 25-25-25, DUNBAR 8-7-11

Coach’s comment: South’s Kristin Ward — “The girls did a great job with their serving. We had 41 service aces, so they did a really nice job.’’

Key players: Naples — Marissa Baker (10 kills, six digs, block), Samantha High (six kills, two blocks), Nina Schmidt (five kills, five digs).

Coach’s comment: Naples’ Rich Hubbard — “With a young team, we struggled a little bit. Golden Gate played a really good game. They were actually more the aggressor. It should be a good battle next time we face them.”

Junior varsity: Naples won in two.

FIRST BAPTIST 25-25-15, CANTERBURY 23-19-6

Site: At Canterbury

Records: First Baptist 1-1

Key players: First Baptist — Rachel Devin, Courtney Maines.

Coach’s comment: First Baptist’s Shaliece Hall — “It’s always great to get that first win. Canterbury has a well-developed program, and we’re really stepping into our own shoes. This was a real confidence booster.”
