August rainfall numbers are in!
More than 12 inches of rain fell across South Florida. Some areas got more (15 inches along the
Caloosahatchee) and some areas got a little less (lower east coast), but when it was all said and done, its safe to say we can officially call August 2008 a Big Rain Month.
Since the start of 2000, South Florida has experienced seven Big Rain Months. Not surprisingly, a major ingredient of Big Rain Months are Big Rain Days. What's the difference between the two?
