What is your favorite restaurant in Naples? Cote de Azure. It’s intimate, small and has excellent French food and service.
What is your favorite dish there? They have an elegant presentation of scallops and very fine onion soup.
What other restaurants do you like? Jane’s on Third, for lunch. The atmosphere is great, with that charming brick floor. It’s too bad Margeaux’ isn’t there anymore.
What is your favorite type of food? Italian food. Carrabba’s has an excellent veal picatta, and Bucca de Beppo is good if we have more than a few people — the décor is so entertaining.
What qualities do you look for in a restaurant? Cleanliness is number one. Including the wait staff. Most restaurant food is too salty or too spicy. We had to live at the Marriott for five months when our home was flooded and eat out every night. Finally, I ended up going to Food and Thought, the organic restaurant, for food that we could tolerate.
