According to a report from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, deputies are investigating the death of a 16-month-old Golden Gate boy who died after witnesses say a television fell on him Wednesday afternoon. Full story »

Bears’ Cardenas, Irigoyen among local athletes to commit to colleges

Palmetto Ridge baseball players Alberto Cardenas and Anthony Irigoyen have been teammates for the last four years, both starring for the Bears on the mound and in the field. So it seemed only fitting they signed national letters of intent to play college ball together Tuesday, Nov. 18, with coaches, faculty and parents looking on. Full story »

For a long time, Collier County has been a hot real estate market, and during the continuous spiral upward to build everything as fast as we possibly could, the cry was constant to make sure growth paid for growth as much as was legally permissible. At the same time, numerous restrictions were added to our development codes, in an attempt to provide some level of control when even the highest impact fees did not deter the staggering growth within the real estate market. Garden of Eden is in bloom at Eden Florida

The Garden of Eden is thriving, thanks to members of the Naples Area Board of Realtors. On Nov. 12, the group dedicated a new butterfly garden at Eden Florida’s School for autistic children, on County Barn Road. Through the group’s efforts, most of the items for the garden were donated. NABOR also presented Eden Florida with a check for $3,000 to help with further educational needs.
