Rambosk ready to reapply to Collier Sheriff’s Office before taking over in January

Collier school board: Curatolo wins; Sprague will face Paterno in runoff

Voters made their feelings about the Collier County School Board’s behavior in the past year clear Tuesday evening. Voters rewarded District 2 incumbent Kathleen Curatolo with a second term. Curatolo received 20,184 votes, or 56.03 percent, compared to her rival Rick MacClugage, who received 15,837 votes, or 43.97 percent. Full story »

Well that was easy. After 11 months of nasty mudslinging by his opponents and their supporters, including being accused of breaking election laws and unethical campaigning, Kevin Rambosk was elected in a landslide Tuesday night to be the next sheriff of Collier County. Lee County voters seemingly declared their satisfaction with the Lee County School Board on Tuesday and re-elected two eight-year incumbents.
District 3 School Board candidate Jane Kuckel won about 64 percent of the vote over Raymond Rodrigues, who received about 36 percent, and District 2 candidate Jeanne Dozier earned about 57 percent over James A. Middlebrooks Jr., who took about 43 percent. Full story »
