St. Matthew's House residents got a special treat this Girl Scout Cookie season, as Brownie Scouts of Troop 148 delivered over $500 worth of cookies, Apr. 23. Based at Corkscrew Elementary, the Troop took the shelter's Tour of Hope in November, while dropping off canned goods for Thanksgiving. While there, several residents inquired as to when cookie sales would start. In response, Troop Leader Liz Rueda organized a fundraiser, asking people to purchase cookies specifically for St. Matt's residents.
