Naples High Football Field

Workers with Ballard Sports measure out the edges of the new artificial turf field at Naples High School on Tuesday, June 10, 2008. Ballard Sports, a Syracuse, N.Y.-based company with offices in Florida, and North and South Carolina, specializes in constructing both natural and artificial turf fields. The Naples High School field is composed sections of artificial turf sewn together over a base of sand a gravel. A layer of rubber and sand is then added on top of the turf. Ed Matthews/ Staff
