Description: This club has three championship courses.
The Mustang Course opened in 1998 and is the newest addition. This layout forces players to use their course management skills and position the ball off the tee. Tee shots will have to be strong and precise on these long fairways. The Flamingo Course is another public layout, while the Classics Course is a members-only course. The 18-hole "Mustang" course at the Lely Resort facility in Naples, Florida features 7,217 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 75.3 and it has a slope rating of 141 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Lee Trevino, the Mustang golf course opened in 1991. Robert Trent Jones, Sr. considers the Flamingo Course to be the finest public course he has ever designed. It's located on rigorous terrain with a large variety of hazards. Four sets of tee boxes make this course interesting for all skill levels. The fairways are tree lined, and the greens are fast and undulating. The signature hole is #5, a 200-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot to an island green. There are lakes that come into play on eleven holes. The nine hole rate on the Flamingo Course is available after 3 p.m. The 18-hole "Falmingo Island" course at the Lely Resort facility in Naples, Florida features 7,171 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.9 and it has a slope rating of 135 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, ASGCA, the Falmingo Island golf course opened in 1991. The Classics Course is a well-maintained private course. The greens are fairly wide and contoured, and the greens are undulating and medium-sized. This course can be quite challenging because there are fifteen water hazards that come into play. The signature hole is #18, a 427-yard, par 4, requiring an accurate tee shot to a small landing area, then a demanding second shot over water to a small, well-bunkered green. Soft spikes are required on the Classics Course. The 18-hole "Classic" course at the Classics Club/Lely Resort facility in Naples, Florida features all the hallmarks of Florida golf. Designed by Gary Player, the Classic golf course opened in 1991. The new Lely Lakes facility will be located adjacent to this club, and will contain twenty-seven holes designed by Fred Couples.
