Chad Gillis, the editor of the Banner, started as a features writer at the Daily News in 1999.

Chad grew up in rural Tennessee outside of the Nashville area. He received a bachelor of science degree in mass communications from Middle Tennessee State University in 1998.

Chad's hobbies include sailing, canoeing, fishing and rowing. He spends most of free time on the water or with his wife and a house full of Great Danes.
