Were any of you bums at yesterdays Bonita Planning session??? At that meeting, they voted for more deveopment/greater density east of rt 75. You know, opening the DR/GR area.
One big, fat, moist goober spat in the faces of those flooded folks...and Bonitans sick of residential/commercial sprawl and over development.

Poor Paid PR Person, Debbie Redfield? Hardly. Dig her salary/bennies. Her job, so unions can cover to greatest extent possible, missteps/misstatements of fire district rank and file.

Where, oh where, are Simons, Nelson, Spear & Martin. There's plenty of time between now and next City Council meeting. They can puts heads together, oh heck, approve another few hundred thousand suare feet of commercial development for that area. What we need is more, nice big paved parking lots and roof tops. You can't beat it for sheet flow.
You folks that voted for these pin heads. Do you have buyers remorse yet?

The Nelson closer is hilarious. "We need a transit authority." What do you mean WE, Babyface. YOU mean, YOU need a transit authority.
It'll take heat off having to ask Bonita property owners to cough up more dollars only to pi$$ down another rat hole.

If Nelson is "concerned" with tranportation issues, why hasn't he intervened when issues arise concerning waste, fraud and abuse involving roads. He's been on MPO for years. In fact, he favored taking original $10,000,000.00 of corrupt "earmark" from FED.
He sat on city council for 6 years while road impact fee's stayed flat. That cost taxpayers $10 million more of property taxes to compensate for shortfall.

On Transit study draws criticism for not including north, west parts of Lee

So Jim, which oxen will you sacrifice to redirect some $'s to improve crumbling infrastructure.
Before answering, did you read article couple of weeks ago???...local/state Department of Transportion gave away FREE, $5 million worth of guardrail to I-75 road builder. The fencing was installed new only 2 years ago!
If you're young as you claim, suggest you devote youthful vigor to stop, or at least slow down government fraud, abuse, corruption. ie, PUT YOUR MOUTH WERE THE MONEY IS WASTED.

The fact driven home by Crist is law and circumstance evolved/change.
City has plan, overlays, zoning, regulations, fees, enforcers it goes on and on. Bonita IS just another town on coast in SWFLA. Lions share of City Council and city administration have set bar at same level as the rest.
These folks either have wisdom, AND the Will, or they don't. So far, prayer hasn't helped.
