What a moving story. Coach Kramer sounds like such a wonderful man back then--too bad he doesn't live up to those ideals anymore. He sure doesnt have the time to help current football families facing tragedy--he is too busy worrying about his football legacy. Coach Dollar too, they arent fit to be around teenagers.

We do have a clue. We love sports and understand competition. What we do not understand is not playing all your second/third string when the score is so lopsided. What we do not understand is the sideline revelry of embarassing the other team. What we do not have a clue about is why Kramer has been allowed to run this team like he is dealing with a pro team rather than a high school team. Winning at any cost is not what high school players should be taught. You are the one who is seems to be clueless about what is going on in that program.

Coach Kramer's decision to run-up the score Friday night is a smear on the good name of Naples High. His only aim is winning, no matter the cost and no matter who is hurt in the process. He has no heart. Take for example the fact that he repeatedly left on the sidelines a player who had recently gone through a personal family tragedy, the death of a former Naples High player. The family has given three sons and their all to the program and was in the stands hoping to ease their pain by watching their son play. Yet Kramer let him stand there most of the night, not caring about anything else but running the score up. How sad--such actions show the true nature of this man.

Great decision! Both of the girls teams that won state titles (basketball and softball) deserve the parade. If they give a parade for the boys, it is only fair that they give one for the girls.

I am not saying Medicare is wonderful, but it is available for all the elderly. I am concerned about those under 65 having difficulty qualifying for healthcare policies or facing financial ruin because of noncoverage issues. Can't our country come up with some solution which guarantees decent coverage availability for every citizen? I pay $2,000 a month for a small group policy with out of pocket expenses of $8,000. How many can afford that and how many can afford the yearly fear that the insurance co. will leave the state and cancel the policy or raise the premium by $500/mo as mine did. Can't there be some relief which applies to all and not just the very poor or the very wealthy?

Guiliani is clueless about healthcare. Even if one can afford a private plan, any preexisting condition is not covered, even minor issues. So, unless you are wealthy, private insurance is not really helpful for most. Group policies help, but may more people are having trouble even finding an affordable group plan which is available to them. Why is it okay for the country to have a federal program like Medicare for the elderly yet not okay, according to Republicans, for there to be a federal healthcare program for those under 65? They never explain except to call it socialism. Try taking away the "socialized" Medicare program from the republican elderly and see how they react.

Wow do we have our priorities upside down in this community. This is a high school football game! Nothing more or less. Shall we close down the roadways for King Kramer and his crew?

What about Third Street shopping area--if the city is going to help Fifth, it also has to help the struggling shops on Third--fair is fair. Where does this end? How about if the greedy landlords actually dropped their outrageous rents to reflect the economy of the area--what a concept!

Flood is a great coach and loved by her players. This is purely a witch-hunt by the AD who hates her.

These women were mistreated by FGCU. FGCU had every opportunity to listen to their concerns and try to honorably address them. Instead, FGCU falsified documents, smeared them in the media with false charges and innuendo, and broke federal law. Instead of getting rid of the athletic director who seems to have caused this mess, they stood behind the "old boy network" and now the taxpayers are stuck with the bill. Instead of outrage at these women, why not vent that outrage where it belongs: the FGCU administration who failed our community by illegal action and cover-up! Fire the Athletic Director who started all this so this won't happen again.
