The Alley shouldn't even be a toll road. It is a necessary artery needed for the good of the public. It is an evacuation route, just like I75. Funding for maintenance of this road should come from the general tax base, not tolls.
Besides a large portion of the toll is used to cover the expense of collecting it in the first place. Tolls are an expensive outdated way of generating revenue. Politicians who speak up and stand against them will get overwhelming support.

Hollywood:
A Realtor doesn't set a price, the home seller does and eventually the buyer and seller agree on a price which establishes the true value of that home on that day.
Realtors simply assist buyers and sellers in the entire home sell/buy process.
Prices will stop falling in Naples, but not until most of the short sales & foreclosures are bought up. And they are being bought. Activity is up over last year, inventory has come down some.
I wish I knew how many were out there, but I don't, so there's no way to predict the bottom in terms of price. But with a median price at about $240's, down from a high above $400's, how much more can we go?

#7 Rasputin: it is heart warming to see that you miss me. NOT!
Same story all year, in fact it's getting boring.. Foreclosures and short sales have drastically reduced prices (Fishkind said activity found a bottom, not pricing), generating higher sales activity then last year - and these stats do NOT include sales at the courthouse.
No one could have predicted these many foreclosures and we are all surprised at how far pricing has come down.
How much more? If I could find a stat that could tell us how many more foreclosures they'll be, we would be able to tell.. but we don't have that figure.

NeezDutz: what's so funny, you can't understand the difference between sales activity and prices?
that's funny!

The real story is that prices have dropped but buying activity has picked up. It's been the same story most of this year.

Can't stand people who think they can just make false statements because their identity is hidden. It's getting old NDN, perhaps it's time to kill these comments all together.

#10 THANK YOU... I can't say it any better
Again, failure to obtain state & fed financing for roads is a failure of leadership.. tolls are a cop out.

Prices are down, so sales are up..
The numbers and Realtors don't lie.

Amazing, an article mentioning NABOR and not one comment. Hard to pick on a group when they're out in the community helping people. Yes, Realtors care about their community and the people who live in them.
Congratulations to the leadership group! You have done a wonderful job.
