Why don't these things ever happen when my wife and I go out to dinner? Maybe because it's 4 pm at Carrabbas.
Juan will swinging on the other side of the street for a few days I think.

When all is legally said and done, who still gets left with the empty money bag? Us! What a mess.

BTV: Thank you for such a good post. You said exactly what I was attempting to say earlier but you were much more eloquent.
I know enough closeted gay people to know that these quoters and bashers would be very surprised to discover who among their friends are gay. I just wonder how they would handle discovering it might be a brother or sister, a son or daughter or even a father or mother.
I find a great disparity between those who call themselves Christians and the Christ-liness of their posts.

Someone quoted to me from Leviticus and I was familiar with that. Leviticus has some other thought-provoking ideas as well.
Leviticus 20:9 If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death. (were I to follow that, I wouldn't be enjoying my grandchildren)
Leviticus 20:10 If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death. (there go some of your golf buddies)
Leviticus 25:44-45 Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property.(hope the native Americans haven't noticed this one)
Leviticus 11:20-22 All flying insects that walk on all fours are to be detestable to you. There are, however, some winged creatures that walk on all fours that you may eat: those that have jointed legs for hopping on the ground. Of these you may eat any kind of locust, katydid, cricket or grasshopper.
I do believe we can find a Bibical quotation to fit whatever we wish to believe based on our personal interpretation. Since my judgment in here is not the important one, I will continue to believe that my homosexual friends are worthy of God's love, my bi-racial neighbor's children seem well-adjusted and I will not be eating any locusts in the near future.

I have a great deal of difficulty with the "demonic spirit" idea. I think of 3 gay couples with whom I am friends. Two of them have been together (not allowed to be married) for almost 50 years and the other couple almost 25 years. They are educated, spiritual, honest and caring people and I have never seen a hint of demonic spirit in them. I cannot conceive of a God that would deny them their place in Heaven. Perhaps you and I worship a different God. "My" God has taught me not to judge by race or political persuasion or sexual orientation. My God is about love and kindness and faith in His infinite wisdom.

patsprincess: You seem to have a strong faith-based opinion so you might be able to help answer a question I have had. Since God doesn't make mistakes, then wouldn't homosexuals be part of His plan? I don't feel as if I have the knowledge to truly understand the entirety of God's plan but, through faith, I accept it. Therefore, I have to believe that God meant for homosexuals to be accepted into the Kingdom of Heaven the same as His other children.
