while i think it is a GREAT idea to turn headlights on for the start of the new school year, i think it's far fetched that most will do it. hell, people don't even turn their headlights on when driving through a storm or early in the morning before the sun is fully up.

"And then again, maybe it is just another way to get people (kids) HOOKED ON DRUGS. Not every sniffle or earache should be 'treated' with this stuff. It knocks out the immune system, setting your kids up for a lifetime of vulnerability and often leads to more and more challenging health problems."
I'm sure you'll have to present a prescription to get the antibiotics. do you honestly think that all you have to do is show up and say you want some penicillin?

rational,
those who serve in our military are not forced to do so. they sign on the dotted line KNOWING that one day they may have to leave their families to go to war.
i don't like that ANYONE has to go to war, but it's part of signing up. our BRAVE servicemen and women know this and hell, even sign up to protect the freedoms we enjoy today. stop bit*hing and be thankful to these fine men and women for doing something you obviously aren't man enough to do.
as my mama used to say, "if the military wanted men to have wives, they'd have issued them one"...

before commenting, i wanted to do my own research. i read 6 different websites on pitbulls. anyone who reads up on pitbulls will find that these dogs DO love people/children. i checked 6 different pitbull sites and found this information, however, i also found that it is RARE to find a pitbull who is bred PROPERLY. this isn't the fault of the dog. it IS the fault of the owner. this could be the difference in the attacks we hear about. the websites also state that those who want to own a pitbull need to be SERIOUSLY responsible people as this breed does require proper handling, training and strict guidance. without it, tragic accidents can happen. now, how many of you out there think that ALL who own a pitbull are responsible enough? not ALL breeds require such attention.
all dogs can attack when provoked. all dogs should be kept leashed or kept within a fence. this shouldn't be a forum for pitbull bashing. i'm not fond of this breed, but rather than make an uneducated post about them, i did my research.

geez miabrat...change the record already. your daily ramblings of "crime comes in all races...blah blah blah" is OLD. most of the time you bring it up before anyone else has. give it a rest.

i'm so tired of people griping out those of us who drive SUV's, etc..thinking we're out to destroy the planet. yes, i bought my truck with its high payment and the huge gas tank that costs me 50-60 bucks to fill up every week just to spite YOU. i did have a little 2 door sports car that used to cost me 20 bucks to fill. i have 2 teenage daughters and driving them and their friends everywhere just ain't possible in a car that only seats 4, and not very comfortably. would you gripers prefer we stuff our families in smaller cars to end your suffering? and to have the balls to gripe when you are only here a few months of the year?! here's a thought: stop worrying about what others drive, how others act and concentrate on YOUR crappy attitude. you get what you put out there.

RE: mail service
when i lived at fairways preserve, our mail was held for one week because the parking lot outside of our apartment building was being repaved. rather than just parking on the part that wasn't being paved and walking up to the mailboxes to deliver mail, they just held all the mail. having to actually walk is just too much to ask for, i guess.
