How much do you want to bet that if this was a white person, who is from a wealthy family, many peolpe would say 9 times to shoot is wrong. I agree with the other posts it doesnt seem that it would take 9 bullets to bring the guy down. I believe there is alot more to this story. It doesnt jell. We cant believe everything we read, there is much more to this. The reputation of this office isnt the greatest. I myself feel sorry for the good police officers that are affliated with this CCSO, it seems to be a constant circus with this office and makes every good cop look bad.
Why havent we heard anything about the witness statements? What happened to the person who was let go for an expired tag? What about the dashcam? And doesnt GulfGate plaza have camera's?

#47, You are really way off base! Im sure he would blog under his real name. I was simply stating I heard he was a good attorney, stop your stupidity.

I 've heard David Agoston is a great attorney. I really hope that he finds out every piece of information. It doesnt make sense 9 times to be shot, a person could go down w/ one and no longer be a threat. 9 gun shots doesnt sound like they were just trying to stop this guy, he was lucky he didnt die. Yeh, he shouldnt have pulled out a pellet gun but come on everyone 9 times. I would love to hear from the witness because Im sure there is more to this story.Maybe if they had cameras in this shopping center it would shed a new light to this case, and what about dashcams?

#8, Yes, many things get swept under the carpet, until everyone really starts speaking up and putting complaints in about this CCSO and letting news and newspapers know it will only continue. And for all you people that think I am just saying this for no reason and because of my feelings towards most of these cops, wrong I went out with a cop that worked on this dept and he couldnt wait to get out and said so much gets covered up.

For all you people defending this CCSO, you apparently have been lucky and not yet have been harrassed, verbally abused, provoked, pulled over for B.S., car searched or some dumb reason, wrongly arrested and yes I mean wrongly, or any other thing this department is soooo good at doing to people. Yeh, theres a few good ones on the force, but the majority should be fired! Look up all the BAD COPS and check Collier County, you will be suprised. Reality is that this CCSO needs a change and the citizens of this county will then respect the officers. The majority of these clowns need to find a new career. People can not respect an officer when he doesnt respect himself and others and when they get away with crap. The stuff they get away with doing and the things they do to other people doesnt warrant respect!

These cops get away with anything and everything down here, it is pathetic! The whole story doesnt make sense, but then again when it comes to the cops doiu ng something wrong the story never makes sense. It gets twisted and covered up anyway possible and the cop didnt do wrong. We need about 90% new cops on this force, clean house get rid of these guys and lets get a decent CCSO. People are tired of the coverups and the wrong arrest , lies and harrassment by these guys. This town has changed over the years and not for the better, when it comes to our law enforcement office.
I would like to know how the few decent cops can actually stand working with these other ones, and not step up and tell the public what really goes on at this office.

#16 Chap... This is Collier County, they dont get fired , they ask them to resign if its a really bad thing that they cant cover up well. The majority of these guys make too much money and they say that his pay was decreased, but within 6 months he will be back to what he was making. So that is a crock. These guys are so busy reading their labtop they dont pay attention to their driving. I have witnessed it several times, they are in their own world, they know if they get into an accident it will be covered up or blamed on the other driver or the tree that was there. They should be fired.

I agree with you Techie,we need to help our own country before we help others. There are many people suffering over here. I dont ever hear other countries sending over food, etc when we Americans are in need. Before we go helping other countries we need to help the people of our own!

These cops pull people over for the dumbest reasons, I cant understand at 2am that he could tell the tint was to dark. It is just a way for them to pull you over for a dumb reason and then they hit you with wanting to search the car, it is done all the time. Many vehicles I have seen in the afternoon that the tint is way to dark to be legal, and the police go right by them. One of the crazy things that this town's cops are famous for.
