The Red Sox want Sarasota to pay for the stadium 100%. Say goodbye. Government has a role in partnerships, but this is a loosing deal for the taxpayers. Let them go and I am from Massachusetts. This is nothing more than sports welfare with no real benefit.

Of course she motivates the right wing of the Republican party. Here is the bad news folks. She will turn off the very voters who will decide this election, the independent voters in key swing states.
Her selection and nomination is the finishing touch to a pathetic team.

Defining John McCain is very easy. Bad judgement. He repeatedly has demonstrated an inability to evaluate circumstances and come up with a good judgment. John McCains policies are a always a work in process with him saying one thing, then changing his mind, sometimes within minutes after his handlers talk to him. Although independent and a patriot, he is risky business for the presidency. His last, most impressionable judgement, was picking someone with little (generous description) experience or proven knowledge of the diversity of American politices and foreign complexities, to be his next heartbeat. Given his age and mortality, this was an important decision, one which he has miserably failed.
That said, it comes down to judgement alone. He lacks it and thus is absolutely unfit for the office.

NOTICE TO REPUBLICANS:
You have a presidential candidate who has a judgement (or confusion) problem and this is the proof in the pudding. One heartbeat away. Americans are a little smarter than you give them credit for. With your candidate at 72 years old, a vetted, respected experienced choice was what America was looking for. That would have soothed some of the concerns about John McCain and his mortality. But to put a person next in line who is unproven, unknown and with no real experience in the greater issues of the say, you have cemented Obama's call for change away from the Republican party. Put the best face you can on, you are expected to do that, but you won't be able avoid that sinking feeling in the gut, as the media will now spend the most important part of the campaign vetting this person. Any small blip will be a major news item, totally distracting the message from the real issues of the campaign.

Republicans should be furious over this pick. All this does is focus things on "a heartbeat away" at McCains age. This woman cannot be ready to lead the country. McCain failed another judgement call question. His job was to pick a VP who could take the job on day one.
As for picking up womens votes, not going to happen with this one. Women vote for security and on economic issues since they usually keep the family checkbook. McCain is confused and either has bad judgement or impaired judgement.

Stillwell should be placed on unpaid administrative leave until the investigation is complete. If he is cleared, he should receive back pay. If he isn't, he should be terminated, which I think is most appropriate. These types of things are highly destructive for the community. He is an appointed manager, not an elected official.

Time to pull the plug on this character. This has nothing to do with the current foreclosure crisis. When the County goes after folks like this, they are SERVING US. As for the threat, some time in jail before this nut does something we all are sorry for.

Location, location, location. This guy was selling snake oil, not location value. These sites will remain vacant for a long time, and the folks that paid these prices for their homes have a lot of thinking (and crying) to do.
