"A lot of crime down here for a small town(s)."

Are you kidding me?

Ft Myers, maybe. Naples? Pffftttt, murders in the single digits doesn't make it a a crime haven. Times are rough, the economy is bad, people don't have work and they're desperate. Happens anywhere when the money pit dries up.

You'd think we'd have more low priced Mexican eat's in this town, but it's all pricey sit down. I miss the burrito stands in California where you could get a 2 pound burrito with all the works for 4 bucks. Good stuff.

What difference is it if it's a underage girl or a boy? And how did you get booze when you were 15-17? Sometimes it was someones older brother, sometimes it was that older guy you let think would join the band just so you'd have a booze link, sometimes it was just a bum who you'd throw a pack of smokes, and once in a while, it was a smarmy 44 year old neighbour, big whoop no news there.

Kids drink, what else do you expect them to do in this town? You don't think a a skate park and a few water slides is enough entertainment to cover every kid under 21 in this town do you?

Sounds like most of you guys made up your mind before we knew anything at all about the situation so I guess hearing either side of the story is pretty moot.

People get educated, help the community a bit, and when they're done, they try to get better paying jobs which will then mean paying more taxes. Win + Win = Win. Better access to education is never a bad thing.

"and majority rules."

Inherent individual rights trump majority consensus. Even though right now the rights of a minority are in danger, it's painfully obvious that eventually they will get their rights back eventually no matter what the majority think. Same with civil rights back in the day, the majority does NOT have the right to take away a minority groups inherent civil rights.

It's a sad sad day, when taking away a groups rights is even on the ballot at all.

We just had a guy hit our neighbours dog and just drove off. Dude was legal, think he had the courtesy to stop and apologize? Hell no. Another driver on the road actually pulled the guy out of his car at a stop and dragged him back to our apartment so my neighbour could call the police.

Didn't Jeb Bush promise to bring back 40's? Whatever happened to that? 32's just don't cut it.
