Rejoice,

Right, so Russia can't vote..

Under Article 27 of the UN Charter, Security Council members are required to abstain from votes under Chapter VI, “Pacific Settlements of Disputes,” but not under Chapter VII, “Action with Respect to … Breaches of the Peace,” i.e., the chapter dealing with military force and other sanctions. Only if the UN then tries to take action against Russia somehow would the Russian veto re-materialize."
So, this is under Chapter VI, which requires Russia to abstain. You are wrong.

Rejoice,

Just ignore Post #88. I've noticed that's SOP for you and GF when your ignorance is exposed. "If I ignore it, it never happened." Just like your hero in the White House.

Re: # 40 by Rejoice,

RE: Obama calling for a UN Security council resolution, you discuss Russia’s veto on the Security Council. According to Article 27 of the UN Charter, a party to a dispute must abstain from voting, so Russia could not exercise its veto."

As usual, Rejoice opens his mouth and displays his ignorance...Maybe you should understand the UN rules before commenting, WHO'S THE BONEHEAD NOW??

GF,
What do you think about the news from Pakistan? Yesterday their Foreign Minister told the US that we could not unilaterally attack Taliban/Al queda terrorists in their tribal regions. It also came out yesterday that the CIA delivered a report to Pakistan providing evidence that their security forces are working with the terrorists.
so, we know they are working with the terrorists and they won't allow us to take matters into our own hands. Remember, these are the scum that brought down the Twin Towers. Bush's reaction?? "The are a strong ally in the war against terror" With allies like that who needs enemies?
You attack Obama for any little item, yet completely ignore that Bush is letting Pakistan dictate to us who we can and can not attack. You would obviously rather support our worst President ever then face reality. God help us all if that old man is elected.
BTW, what do you think of McCains lies that he would run a postitive campaign? 3 months left and the attack ad's have started. Another flip flop for Johnny boy. It's obvious he kows that the only way he can win is by going negative and spinning the truth, right out of Rove's playbook (he's the one who was cited for contempt of Congress btw...). Either that or Billy is right about his new strategy, go for the pity vote...

Mr. and Mrs. Finnegan,

Are you aware those "activist" judges on the Ca. Supreme Court are dominated by REPUBLICANS? Are you aware that of the 7 justices, 6 were appointed by Republican govenors?? Take your homophobia elsewhere and try researching something before exposing your ignorance.

Mr. Larkin Barnett III, what a touching and moving letter. Without a doubt that is the single best LTTE I have ever had the privilege to read. To quote FDR, "Let us thank God for men such as these" He was talking about you and your friends sir.

Gee Skippy, it would seem like a speech about veterans healthcare reform might be a good forum to relate a story about a returning serviceman who was traumatized by the horrors of war and had no healthcare system to rely on....Hmmm, any bearing on what we're seeing today??? Maybe that was a reference to the new PTSD numbers they just announced?
Like I said, really reaching if this is the best you have.

I'm not Truthmatters Guilty, I mean Skippy, although I appreciate the compliment.
The GOP is really reaching if this is the best you have. Maybe you should address the topic Obama was speaking about yesterday, health care for returning veterans. I love how you focus on a mis-statement instead of the real issue of importance. And for historical perspective, I believe a Democratic president was the one who ordered those camps to be liberated dummy.
