More than 90% of families got their first choice this year - yeah, 10% didn't, but that's better than having to assign kids based on your address - if the school I would be assigned to doesn't offer a program I want, I'd be hosed...

at least with choice I have the chance to pick a school I want, not one that is picked for me.

Look around the state (google search for those of you technically challenged) and see how boundary schools fair elsewhere. Parents in other counties are SCREAMING to have the choice to pick the school(s) for their kids...

There's nothing wrong with wanting to be an adjunct professor at a local college or university. Least we forget, board members currently teach at a local college - including the one board member who continually complains about everything.

if the man wants to teach an education class, it would benefit the district as he would at least be interacting with future teachers and see first-hand the issues they are facing. When is the last time he was in a classroom? Years ago? It might be a reality check which would benefit all teachers and employees.

There is no other reason for his grandstanding, spreadinng of 1/2 truths and misinformation aside from wanting to hear himself talk. What has this man brought to the table in the form of substance when he complains about this, that or the other thing? didn't you READ the story - the District wouldn't be selling ads for those types of companies. The people quoted in the story, including the district in Colorado, pointed out some ads are out of bounds.

God, your distaste for the District is a freakin' joke.
