Smells like a coverup to me. Typical Sheriff's office. Depends who you are as to who gets this treatment. It's a shame they were willing to send innocent men to prison to protect someone's kid. I hear Storrar is a piece of work, Under Sheriff Storrar that is. Guess when the new Sheriff gets in it'll all remain the same if he really knew about this coverup. I just can't believe they don't investigate crimes. I've read about so many stories where innocent people had to hire private investigators to investigate cause our own Sheriff's office refuses to. Something is wrong & the citizens of this county have to demand things change. I challenge Mr. Rambosk to run an honest agency & stop all this nonsense.

The NDN has given the kiss of death to their boy, the incumbent == who has raised costs, lowered morale, made a mess of the department.

The NDN has endorsed nothing but losers for sheriff, from Koors to Lagen to the current guy.

ORTINO for sheriff!!!

Ortino is the class act running for sheriff. A great leader and intuitive investigator.

Ortino! He is the man for sheriff. GO ORTINO FOR SHERIFF!!!

Ortino is a class act. The other guy has shown he cannot or will not keep his word, and has shown no leadership at all in five years at the sheriffs department or in managing his campaign.

ORTINO for sheriff.

On Supporters insist their Collier sheriff’s candidate is the star

Oh I heard the ex-undersheriff spouting his crap on the radio yesterday again saying he wasn't violating the hatch act even though the government said he was & that the CCSO falls under the judicial branch not executive branch in Florida. Well he's wrong. He & Hunter should know this is they've been top cops so long. Guess he doesn't know the law like he says he does. It's at this website:

The point is if a curfew is needed it's needed but to have deputies bragging they hope there is a curfew just so they can arrest people to get stats up is not a reason for a curfew. They say it's fun & they won't get bored. Just to put in a curfew to get stats up is not a reason for a curfew.

I know several deputies & it seems that the CCSO still can't prepare for a hurricane. They call them tell them to report at one time then call them back a few minutes later telling them another time. Some are now on 15+ hour shifts. I understand they only want a curfew so they can arrest people. The deputies from several districts were bragging about how many arrests they made the last time there was a curfew & how much fun it is to arrest unsuspecting curfew violators just for the stats.

This story only begins to tell the tale of why change is so desperately needed at the sheriffs department. I have also spoke to many deputies, and know many personally. I spoke to the sergeant involved in the messaging incident. There is a lot more to that story than was printed or was in the file and investigation conducted by the sheriffs department. The sergeant was quite intelligent and did not say anything negative about any individuals very lucidly and articulately told me what I wanted to know. The sergeant did not try to sway me to a candidate, but it was pretty obvious that he thinks its time. So do I.

Ortino for sheriff.

On Crime down, but two Collier sheriff’s candidates cite need for change

Posted on August 13 at 9:09 p.m.

If you just read Ortino's editorial, read it again. Its worth it. Its wonderful. Ortino put the NDN and the former undersheriff "who was forced to resign to avoid prosecution" in their place and defined them and their tactics for what they really are. I cannot wait until the smear machine of the former deputy "who was forced to resign" (I love that phrase, it says so much) bring out to try to sway the public that their candidate is really who we need as our top cop. By the way stand by for more on the "tax free" website that was talking trash about Ortino. The IRS is not happy that its rules were not followed.

As they all been saying ORTINO for sheriff.

Ortino is the new sheriff. Don't let the smear and snake-tactics fool you. Vote Ortino!

Rambosk = hubris, elitist, big spender, successful bureaucrat, someone who can spend your tax dollars easy as drinking water, out of touch with the community and the sheriffs department, college boy when Ortino was serving his county in the Air Force, been feeding off the taxpayer for 20+ years, time for him to go away.

ORTINO = successful business man, knows the value of your hard earned money, respected, integrity, honor, a veteran, state trooper, military policeman, ethical, in touch with the community, a vision for the future of the agency and the county, heart, passion, business accumen, strong work ethic, able to see what is what, common sense, willing to do what is right not what is convenient... this list could go on and on.

Ortino for sheriff!!!!!
