I have to agree with this review. The Strip House is a premier steak house that puts out a phenomenal meal. I had the NY strip, medium rare, and it was close to perfection. Best steak in town is still Preston's, but the Strip House is a close second.

The food was very good, the service was excellent, and the setting clean and comfortable. Saffron has an excellent opportunity to distinguish itself from the competition in Bonita Springs and Fort Myers, but it's going to take a little more effort. The portions were modest, and the presentation of the food items could have been a bit more pleasing to the eye. We had the onion kulcha (delicious) and shrimp and chicken entrees (flavorful, with just the right amount of spice) Overall, "nice" Indian restaurant (though the chef is from Nepal) with plenty of room for improvement.

Nice staff, pleasant ambience, limited menu. The food is average, if you've truly sampled authentic Spanish cuisine. Nice place for "tapas and vino" before going home after a hard day at the office.

Great gourmet cafe with a creative menu and "local" feel. I've had several lunches, sampling salads and sandwiches. The dishes are tastey, generously portioned, and very nicely presented. New location on US41 is convenient for locals who want a quick, high-quality lunch. Excellent! MK MD

Tropic Chill is a great lunchtime sandwich shop in downtown Naples. This little storefront has a "neighborhood" feel, as the owner greets clients by first name and the cooks start preparing your usual order as they see you entering the shop. The hot sandwiches are fantastic (top 5 for Naples), generously portioned, and made with fresh breads. Have an Italian Ice for dessert -- delicious and reminiscent of summertime on the New Jersey Shore. Great selection of beverages, including Dr. Brown's NY-style sodas. Bring cash -- no credit/debit cards accepted. Skip the chain restaurants and patronize this great local joint with quality food. MK MD

The argument in this article is just another example of "white guilt". It is similar to an ongoing debate at many of the nation's universities -- "there aren't enough African-American astrophysicists in the Department of Astronomy"; or "we need to hire more African-American PhD's for the Department of Mathematics". Well, if there was a surplus of QUALIFIED African-Americans who had doctoral degrees and were systematically being kept out of faculty positions, then this argument would have some strength to it. The same applies to golf and any other "predominantly white" entity. To my knowledge, there isn't a surplus of professional grade African-American golfers who are being systematically prevented from participating in the PGA Tour and just waiting for an opportunity to play the game. So, admit that this is really the "white guilt" phenomenon. Representation in sports, and in all other aspects of life should be based on merit. We have corrected the injustices of our predecessors. IT'S ABOUT QUALIFICATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!What about the fact that the NFL and NBA are predominantly black? THESE BLACK MEN ARE THE BEST ATHLETES, so they deserve their positions in professional sports. For the record, I am a 36 y/o Jewish Hispanic and bilingual male.

El Paisano is a great restaurant in historic downtown Bonita Springs. This is AUTHENTIC Mexican food! Lots of seafood choices, including ceviche made fresh daily. Skip the "Lizard Restaurant" and the other one with the words "Cilantro" and "Tamale" in its name. This is original food, with bold tastes, in an ethnically appropriate setting. The staff is friendly and welcoming (and borderline bilingual), and the service is excellent.

Excellent food and excellent service. The menu is diverse, and the portions are generous. The atmosphere is drab, but you're really there for the cuisine. Grilled calamari appetizer is very good, and leave room for the rice pudding dessert. Highly recommended for a consistently good meal and attentive staff.

Great Thai food and fresh, generously portioned sushi. The service is excellent. A great North Naples "neighborhood" restaurant.

One horrible meal during its third month of operation a few years ago -- never went back. An absolutely fantastic meal 2 weeks ago!!!
New management or new chef, or both? I will be going back soon. Keep up the good work.
