Here's what's stupid... exhorbitant "association" fees. What is the norm in Naples? There are quite a few condos, some with golf, some without.
What is the monthly norm for water/sewer/garbage/TV/landscaping/swimming/clubhouse \?
It seems that properties charging excessive monthly fees will be the last to rebound.

People capable of murder need to be removed from society. It's a very clear line, and once crossed, you are no longer a human. When two kids plan it together and execute it together, they are BOTH GUILTY of the crime no matter who stabbed first, or who drove the vehicle, or who talked the victim into the vehicle... THE RESULT IS DEATH, and THE GUILT IS EQUAL.
I'd hate to determine guilt without a trial, but, let's not be stupid...
Let's get rid of the problem and keep the rest of us NONMURDERERS safe.

Cigarettes are not any funnier than guns and bullets. Why is she laughing?

What website lists available part-time jobs in Naples? I need a second job. I used the EmployFlorida website and found only 4 PART-TIME jobs in Collier County. Is that true?

Unfortunately we left the gold standard and now use funny-money, so we will always see inflation and always have need to increase the "minimum wage". The term is deceptive, though, and it should be based on locality, not a federal constant. $7.21 in Naples is poverty. $7.21 in Nebraska or rural MT or ID is survivable. The "minimum" for any city and county should be calculated based on a basket of goods purchased in that city/county.
The computation of a federal wage is archaic. In this day and age of databases, we could create MUCH more accurate wage computations. In the old days, OPM set government wages and gives some "high-priced" areas Locality Pay above and beyond the General Wage. Everyone else gets General Wage. I think locality pay should be done away with. I think Minimum Wage and General Wage should be based on zip code. It would only take a couple additional columns in a spreadsheet and a PC could calculate it easily. C'mon government, why are you still acting like this is 1940?
Maybe the government needs to outsource wage-calculation to an independent Chinese firm, and then we could get some results.

This is such a travesty. People being selfish and greedy. Every shopper who was in that crowd should face manslaughter charges, the same as a driver who accidentally kills another on the road. Every one of them.
These horrible Christmas shoppers just got away with true murder.

They are going to mirror a park THAT old?
And spend that much for a SPRING TRAINING facility?
Anyone know of estimates regarding the tourist PROFIT (not sales, but resulting profit) that the RedSox bring here annually? Just wondering how many years it will take to make up for the $50-$75 million expenditure.

What is the downside of foreclosing?
I know your credit rating takes a hit, but that doesn't seem to be much of a deterrent... who cares about credit ratings anymore? And there will be millions of Americans with damaged credit ratings, so many that banks won't be able to deny loans based on credit ratings alone, or they won't have any clientele to lend to.
So really, what are the repercussions of letting your house go?

Realtors and sales agents are ridiculous... why are people still using them? I guess because they have $10000 they feel like giving away to someone who can run a printer and deliver paperwork.
Seriously, how stupid are people that they can't handle their own paperwork for buying a house?
If people would just grow some hair on their chest and quit paying absurd brokerage fees, the residential realty robbery would cease to exist.
